Aboriginal Art gives me the inspiration to create

My interest is Aboriginal or Indigenous art as it preferred to be called in Australia; this is just a hobby for me.

I use rock art as an inspiration to make stained glass designs. I see I’m not the only one who has this interest as you have a piece displayed in your Australian section.

The one above is of a male Emu taking care of the eggs, yes the ladies get it easy in this situation, after the eggs are laid it is the male that roosts and brings up the chicks, while the female goes off for more fun.

Going to outback to visit these wonderful people is one of the pleasures of life for me, for they truly have a sense and feeling for the land, that modern civilisations seem to have lost.

Just a note on your service to allow artists to display their art, I commend you on this and it may give some the start they need, although it my hobby and don’t want exposure, I see many artists here who don’t have the opportunity or wherewithal to do this.

Thought I would be the first to tell about my art interests with Indigenous people of Australia, never really been first at much, so this is a first, and will check back to see others art and interests.
